In the realm of community building and its profound impact, Norfolk Paddle Boards stands as a testament to the beauty of forging connections and nurturing holistic well-being. Over the years, this endeavour has blossomed into a vibrant community, where individuals converge to broaden their social circles, rediscover themselves, and prioritise their physical and mental health.

However, steering a community through its highs and lows demands more than just passion; it requires a delicate balance between dedication and self-care. As the founder of Norfolk Paddle Boards, I've often found myself deeply invested in safeguarding this community, sometimes at the expense of my own well-being. Yet, this winter marked a pivotal moment—a time of introspection and exploration into ways of better caring for myself outside the realm of paddle boarding.

One avenue that has been instrumental in this journey is "Hustle," curated by the esteemed @bobbyharrison and his team of coaches.
Embracing this new experience has been enlightening, offering not only physical exertion but also mental rejuvenation through learning. Participating in Rounds classes, characterised by a blend of bag work, shadow boxing, and partner drills, has become a cornerstone of my routine, empowering me to start each day invigorated and prepared to tackle challenges.

The predawn sessions serve me well, aligning with my preference for early mornings. I've come to realise the importance of carving out time and routines that resonate with my individual needs and rhythms.
Much like Norfolk Paddle Boards, Hustle embodies the essence of community within a gym setting—a gathering of kindred spirits united in their pursuit of physical and mental well-being. It offers not only a space for personal growth but also an avenue for forging friendships, expanding knowledge, and embracing new experiences.
For those intrigued by the prospect of joining such a community but apprehensive about taking the leap, I extend a welcoming hand. Reach out, inquire, and explore. Many of our fellow paddlers have ventured into the world of Hustle, and their experiences stand as a testament to the inclusivity and supportiveness of this environment.
Moreover, the opportunity to experience a complimentary first class presents a risk-free chance to immerse oneself in the ethos of Hustle, engaging with both fellow members and coaches to gain insights and dispel any lingering doubts.
In essence, the journey of community building is not merely about outward connections but also an inward journey of self-discovery and care. By finding harmony between nurturing the collective and tending to personal well-being, we pave the way for thriving communities that uplift and sustain all who are part of them.
Id love to know if you have any community groups you are part of that we can share to our community. Please reach out and drop me a message hello@equanimityfestival.com
